Dark Romance Books That Are Still Romantic

I’m not gonna lie, I thought I was gonna be a major dark romance girl. But…some of these dark romance characters are so mean to each other my Pisces heart can’t take it!
So I wanted to share my favorite dark(ish) romances that are still, well, romantic.
Alliance Series by S.J. Tilly
This series of four books follows the men of the Alliance mafia and the women they fall in love with. While there are some dark themes, including forced marriage and kidnapping, the characters are still good to each other (more or less).

This isn’t really a dark romance, but more of a romantic suspense. There aren’t really dark elements between the characters, but there is an overall darker story happening that the characters must get through.
